COWS AND FISH

Cows and Fish (Riparian Management Society) is a non-profit stewardship organization that offers services to landowners, stewards, youth and organizations to support their riparian areas and grazing management such as providing technical advice, educational materials, and training opportunities; conducting health assessment and monitoring; and offering management strategy suggestions.

Field staff help landowners and communities interested in management improvements by conducting baseline riparian health assessments, supporting community-based planning, and providing information and tools to facilitate action. Annual in-person training events include Ranching Opportunities workshops, Grazing Schools, and Ladies Livestock Lessons, while recorded webinars, digital stories, and video repository provide opportunities for at-home learning about riparian and grazing management, beavers’ role in healthy watersheds, etc. An online library hosts a wealth of landowner-focused information including articles, fact sheets, community/producer stories, assessment and plant guides, and newsletters.
