ALBERTA COMMUNITY BAT PROGRAM

As a regional program of Wildlife Conservation Society Canada, the Alberta Community Bat Program (ACBP) provides free resources for landowners and stewards to support the management and public perception of bats in the province of Alberta.

You can connect with their work by reporting roost colonies of bats found in buildings or bat houses or by conducting exit counts and submitting the number of bats in the colonies as well as through the website where you can find bat house building guidelines and helpful resources for bat-friendly exclusions.

If you come into contact with a bat in Alberta or think you may have come into contact with a bat in Alberta, call the Alberta Public Health Veterinarian at 1-844-427-6847 or Health Link (8-1-1) for assessment.
