\n\t\"null\"\n<\/div><\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css=””]The Southern Alberta Land Trust Society (SALTS) was founded in 1998 by ranchers committed to slowing the conversion and fragmentation of ranch lands, supporting ranching communities, and safeguarding Alberta\u2019s irreplaceable natural assets \u2013 native grasslands and healthy watersheds. SALTS exists to support landowners who want to keep their remaining grasslands in grazing and not converted to land uses that permanently undermine their benefits.<\/p>\n

To this day, SALTS continues to be rancher-led and connected to the land and the communities we serve. We work collaboratively with landowners to provide voluntary conservation tools that meet their needs. In addition to safeguarding the legacy of unbroken ranch lands and the natural assets they provide (beef production, wildlife habitat, and healthy watersheds), conservation easements can play a valuable role in supporting ranch transitions and often provide opportunities to support tax and estate planning.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1773890383579{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]<\/p>\n
