The Kainai Ecosystem Protection Agency will be hosting their annual KEPA Summit on June 1st to 3rd, 2016. This event is based out of Standoff, Alberta and hosts a variety of speakers, exhibits and field tours. The theme for the 2016 Summit is “Climate Change Resilience & Adaption”.
The goal of the KEPA Summit is to initiate relationships and ideas that will ultimately translate into sustainable planning and management of natural resources and ecosystems by fostering dialogue between youth, elders, community members, community neighbors, academics and Chief and Council of the Blood Tribe.
The Waterton Biosphere Reserve is pleased to be participating in the summit by hosting a tour of farms and ranches in the area which have participated in the Carnivores and Communities program through different projects on their properties.
