More than 850 students, teachers, and community members came out to enjoy “DAY ON THE CREEK”, experiencing and learning about the environment and human history along Pincher Creek.
With the help of our partners 100 grade 5 students spent a “WETLAND FIELD DAY” exploring wetlands and associated grassland habitat at Police Outpost Provincial Park as a curriculum based outdoor learning experience.
The CARNIVORES AND COMMUNITIES PROGRAM was the recipient of the 2018 Emerald Award for Community Group or Not-for-Profit Association: Grassroots.
Our NORTHERN LEOPARD FROG PROJECT continues with the inclusion of eDNA surveys. We collected eDNA samples at 18 locations and will share results with landowners in early 2019.
2019 will mark the 40TH ANNIVERSARY of the Waterton Biosphere Reserve’s designation.
